Reviews completed work, accepting, amending, or correcting errors in grammar, spelling, style, and format as appropriate while ensuring consistency, accuracy, clarity, precision, and comprehensiveness. Checked materials for clarity, persuasiveness, and adherence to Associated Press style.
VISUAL INFORMATION & PUBLICATION DEVELOPMENT
Uses the latest industry standard web-based and multi-media software programs to develop professional concepts and layouts. Plans original visual design for logos, info graphics, and advertisements. Collaborates with staff to establish requirements for design and publication. Advises writers and photographers on the type of imagery needed to support the design. Art directs photography to meet layout and cover requirements.
TEAMWORK AND SUPPORT
Provided coaching on graphic programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign to improve associate designers’ productivity. Supervised the daily work of visual information specialist to ensure consistency of design standards.
